China is a complete different world and is forever linked to its ancient civilization, friendly people, and many of the world’s most revered treasures, such as The Great Wall, Terra-Cotta Warriors & Horses and the Yangtze River.
Today, one can also find spectacular architecture and towering skylines in Shanghai and Beijing (site of the 2008 Summer Olympics), shop-till-you drop cities, desert landscapes, a wealth of luxury accommodation and exquisite cuisine.
It is highly recommended to follow a loose itinerary here, such as the Silk Road, sailing down the Yangzi River, or exploring the landscapes of Guangxi Province.
Boutique Luxury Escapes brings you pre-planned itineraries, which you can join-in alternatively we can tailor-make your requirements.
Best time to go: March to April and September to October are the best times to visit China, though the higher altitude areas
of Tibet, Qinghai and Western Sichuan are best visited during June to September. Daytime temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C (68°F-86°F) in these seasons - but bear in mind that nights can still be bitterly cold and it can sometimes be wet and miserable. Major public holidays, in particular Chinese New Year, are best avoided.
